Performance Format
DJ GRILL performs dynamic, groove-driven DJ sets using Rekordbox-prepared USBs or a personal controller rig, depending on venue setup. The workflow is designed for reliability, club compatibility, and fast changeovers.
Preferred Setup (Club Standard)
Any of the following configurations are ideal: • 2 × Pioneer CDJ-3000x, CDJ-3000, or CDJ-2000 NXS / NXS2 media players • 1 × Pioneer DJM-A9, DJM-A10, or DJM-900 NXS2 mixer • 2 × Booth monitors, left + right with independent level control • LAN-linked players for track data and sync • Clean, grounded power and sturdy booth table (≈ 4 ft wide × 3 ft high) Up-to-date firmware and well-maintained hardware preferred.
Acceptable Alternate Configurations
DJ GRILL is comfortable adapting to alternate setups given notice. All-in-One / Compact Units: • Pioneer XDJ-XZ • XDJ-RX3 • XDJ-RR • XDJ-AZ or equivalent Legacy Club Rigs: • CDJ-2000 / 2000 NXS + DJM-900 NXS (any combination) • Denon SC-6000 + X1850 (may require USB prep adjustment) Rekordbox-formatted USBs can be used on any modern Pioneer setup.
Artist-Supplied Setup (On Request)
When in-house gear is unavailable, DJ GRILL can provide a personal rig: • Pioneer DDJ-FLX10 controller + laptop (Rekordbox Performance Mode) Venue must provide: • 1 × stereo line input (RCA or XLR) to house mixer • 1 × 120 V power outlet within 3 ft of booth • Stable, flat surface (min. 4 ft wide × 3 ft high)
Visual Support / VJ Capability
DJ GRILL can provide synchronized visual content for compatible setups. • Standard output: 1080p (1920 × 1080) • Other resolutions available upon advanced notice • Delivered via HDMI, SDI, or USB-C interface depending on system Please confirm venue projection input type and resolution if requesting visuals.
Booth & Audio Notes
• Booth monitors should be placed on both sides of the DJ, and are optional if given prior notice • Balanced XLR output preferred • Setup / teardown ≈ 10 minutes (USB/CDJ only) and ≈ 30 minutes if bringing controller setup • DJ GRILL travels with personal headphones + USB backups
Set Length & Flexibility
• Typical set: 60 – 120 minutes • Extended sets: 5+ hours possible by arrangement
